Emma Heyn was born in York, Nebraska to WELS teachers, Greg and Wendy Schibbelhut. She grew up and lived in Onalaska, Wisconsin. In 2014, she enrolled in Martin Luther College to be an early childhood teacher and minor in music. After 4 years studying early childhood, she transferred to the University of Wisconsin in Lacrosse, for one semester, to finish her early childhood study. After returning and graduating from MLC in December of 2019 with an elementary education degree and a music minor, she took a semester off to enjoy some time in Europe. In May of 2020, Mrs. Heyn received a divine call to serve as the 1st grade teacher and music instructor at Crown of Life in West Saint Paul, MN. Days later, Jacob Heyn, a current seminary student, asked her to marry him. After Jacob finishes up his vicar year in Princeton, WI, he will continue his final year at the seminary in Mequon, WI for the 2021-2022 school year. Mrs. Heyn enjoys many musical instruments, including the piano, violin, and trumpet. In her free time, you may see her singing, playing instruments, writing stories, hiking, and spending quality time with her new husband.

Emma graduated from Martin Luther College
