Good Shepherd's Time and Talents Survey
There's a place where only you fit!
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
St. Paul makes it clear in the passage that our salvation, and all the other gifts that God gives to us, are given by the grace of God through faith in God. However, there are responsibilities that we, as members of God’s family, have just as members of your family have responsibilities.
At home, maybe it’s one person’s job to see that the trash is taken out. At church, someone is needed to take out the trash, too. Do family members take turns making dinner at your house? Church-family members need to take turns making coffee for the fellowship hour, or overseeing the pot-luck dinner. Maybe Aunt Hilda is the family news messenger. Could you be your church’s “Aunt Hilda” as part of a telephone or prayer chain?
No two people have time and abilities in the same quantity or quality. Certainly, no one person has them in full, unlimited supply. So the time and abilities of all church members are needed to complete the work which God has given us to do.
Because there is so much talent that our church leadership does not know about, we are asking that you take a moment to fill out this survey. If you would like to receive additional guidance, instructions, or encouragement, please note that, too. We are asking for this information in order to fill needs we currently have as well as to fill needs in the future.
Thank you for your time, consideration, willingness, and generosity!
Take My Life And Let It Be
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee.
Take my voice and let me sing
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Ev'ry pow'r as thou shalt choose.
Take my will and make it thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart - it is thine own;
It shall be thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee.
