Spring officially starts in a few days, but today felt like it already arrived.  The temperature was 63 F.  Some robins have already returned and most of the snow has melted.  Spring is a wonderful season as trees and flowers burst forth with renewed life.

That’s what Easter is all about too, renewed life.  On Easter Sunday, Jesus rose from the dead.  Because Jesus rose, we, as His followers, will also be raised from the dead (see 1 Corinthians 15:20).

More than 1,000 years before Jesus died and rose, Job put it this way, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.  And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another.  How my heart yearns within me!”  (Job 19:25-27)
