Advent is a church season all about coming. Christ is coming soon. His return to this world will be universal--no one will miss it. And, his return will be sudden--no one will be expecting it. Will you be ready when he comes? That's why we have a season of the church year to think about Christ's coming and to remind ourselves to be ready. If you've been putting off your relationship with Christ, if you've been waiting for the "right time" to come and worship regularly--stop. The time is now. Christ is coming. Will you come and worship him?

Find time especially during Advent. In addition to Sunday worship, we worship on Wednesdays in December at 3:30 and 6:30 with a fellowship meal in between so you don't have to worry about making dinner. It was great to see so many of you there this past Wednesday!

Devotions for Advent

Here are some great devotions to help you and your family prepare during the season of Advent. Each week I'll post a new series of devotions. These come from Pastor Jon Hein - our synod's director for the Commission on Congregational Counseling.

Click here for this week's devotions.

Each week there will be three devotions. After the devotion, there are three levels of questions: one for the very young, one for slightly older children and then for older children and teens. Have fun with these devotions and let God's Word be a rich treasure in your house, too!
