Childcare: Our Purpose
Good Shepherd's Lutheran Childcare Center provides year round quality childcare in a Christian, loving, safe, and disciplined environment, while reaching out to our community and acquainting it with Good Shepherd's Lutheran Church and School. We strive to show our community what we have to offer on spiritual and educational basis.
Childcare: What We Do
Good Shepherd's Childcare Center provides a very stimulating and fun environment in a loving, stable, Christian setting. Daily activities will help your child develop the social and interactive skills needed to enter Pre-K4 and kindergarten.
Story time and group time activities spark your child's imagination and interest while providing learning experiences that will broaden your child's aptitude for future schoolwork. Free play, outside playtime (weather permitting), and art projects help develop both gross and fine motor skills. Our daily schedule also includes morning and afternoon snacks, a scheduled lunchtime and a quiet/nap time.
Childcare is available Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., year-round, except major holidays.

Infant and Toddler Care
We offer care for children six weeks through 24 months of age. Learning experiences provided will stimulate the child's spiritual, emotion, intellectual, and physical needs. Through one-on-one interaction the babies are stimulated and the toddlers are taught socialization skills. Children are read to one-on-one and as a group. All interaction is done to encourage a calm, loving, and caring environment. Coloring time is offered each day to help with the development of each child's fine and small motor skills. Weather permitting, the children will be taken outside for a short break. Snacks, lunch and nap time are part of our daily routine.
2+3 Year Early Childhood Education Programs
Good Shepherd's Childcare offers early childhood education programs for two and three year olds, Monday through Friday from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. You may choose three to five day attendance for your child. Before and/or after care is available in addition to the early childhood learning hours listed above. The activities we offer are challenging to each child at his or her level of ability. Your child is encouraged to color, glue, and cut out his or her own art projects. Group time consists of: Bible stories, early math concepts, nature/science, circle time/language, art materials, and small/large motor skills.
We use Christian teachings with the children in our Jesus stories, daily mealtime prayers, and by example through our staff.
