The 5K teachers are looking forward to getting to know the new class for 2010-2011 and their parents and to work with you as we work to achieve your child’s 5K goals. This is a terrific year of change for your Kindergartener, and we are excited to be a part of it as together we strive to help your child "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)
The First Day of School
Please bring your child to the classroom between 8:00-8:15 am. We will then walk over to church to begin our year with a church service. If you are able to stay, parents may sit with us for the service.
Please send a snack – something to eat (maybe fruit, or crackers - something healthy is best) and something to drink (maybe a fruit juice drink box).We have the snack mid-morning.They will need a lunch on the first day like every other day and will have their carton of milk at that time.
Please meet your child at the front door of school at the end of the school day, at least for the first week or so while they get in a routine of heading home to their vehicles in a safe manner.

Parents, come to the gym to begin our orientation process. There will be general information given for all-school matters. Then we will go to the classrooms to talk about classroom routines, field trips, curriculum or anything else parents need to know for a successful school year. If you have more than one child at Good Shepherd’s, after 20 minutes or so you may proceed to the next classroom and each teacher will repeat their information a second time.It is very important for parents to attend this one time/year meeting to receive the information from teachers.See you there!
Good Shepherd's teachers are ready to listen to your concerns and discuss the education of your child. It is their desire to encourage scholastic excellence in their students, and more importantly, to lead them through Christian example and Biblical teaching.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness.
