"Good Shepherd has been awesome in teaching them so much with skits and songs.  My children have made friends from attending each year and truly enjoy it." - note on a 2013 camp registration.  Just after last year's camp, a parent told us their children "popped out of bed every morning and were excited about going.  They would sing camp songs together every night.”  Another parent contacted us via Facebook: “Thanks for another awesome week of VBS!  Both girls had a great time & wish it could last longer than one week!”  Many parents verbally expressed similar thanks to our camp staff.

Our 2012 camp had record attendance with 128 "campers" served by a staff of 47 (full-time and part-time), including 25 adult staff members.  On-site staff varied from 37-42 throughout each day.

For ages 4-11.  Children are grouped into "cabins" by age.  Children take part in small group activities with the other campers in their "cabin" and in large group activities with everyone.  Camp is tiring for 4 and 5 year olds, so we try to have their cabins move at a slower pace.

FREE.  There is no charge for camp.  Those who wish to help and can afford to do so are encouraged to donate toward the cost of camp (a $30 donation per child, or $50 per family, would cover most of our costs).

Children love to hear Kody The Bear and his friends talk about their adventures, which always leads to discussion about Jesus and His love for us.  Campers also learn to sing some really cool camp songs.

From the opening assembly to the closing festivities, our campers learn life lessons.

Camp is held on Good Shepherd's school/church campus.  Many activities are held indoors in air conditioned rooms. Lunch, snacks, and craft materials are included.  Camp has been held every July since 2004.
